New City College is seeking an enthusiastic Lecturer in Engineering for its Rainham Campus. You will teach and assess learners across Engineering programmes from Level 2 to HNC, including 14–19 provision, adult learners and apprentices.

The role covers mechanical and electrical principles, maths, electronics, PLCs, microcontrollers and renewables. You will work with colleagues, employers and awarding bodies to deliver high‑quality teaching, assess progress and support progression, with

Qualifications

• Qualified Engineer with industry experience.
• Willing to work towards a teaching qualification (PGCE/PTLLS/DTLLS).
• A1 Assessor Award is required, V1 Award desirable.
• Strong commitment to equality, diversity and safeguarding.
• Experience embedding e-learning into course delivery.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging teaching, training and assessment across Engineering qualifications.
• Plan and develop student-centred learning activities and schemes of work.
• Assess and support learners from induction through to achievement.
• Provide regular feedback and tutorials to help learners reach their potential.
• Contribute to development and quality assurance of Engineering programmes.
• Collaborate with employers, awarding bodies and partners.
• Maintain accurate learner and course records and support QA processes.
