Job summary

New City College seeks an experienced Lecturer in Electrical Installation to teach and assess learners across Level 1 to Level 3, 16–18, adults and apprenticeships. Join a strong team focused on developing practical skills, knowledge and confidence from induction to progression.

You will deliver high-quality teaching, assess learners and contribute to curriculum development, with a commitment to safeguarding and equality. The role is based across NCC campuses with term-time considerations.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with 18th Edition qualification.
• Experience in the electrical industry.
• Teaching or training qualification and assessor qualification advantageous.
• Commitment to safeguarding, equality and diversity.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching, training and assessment across accredited Electrical qualifications.
• Plan engaging, learner-centred programmes developing knowledge and vocational skills.
• Assess learners and apprentices with regular feedback and tutorial support.
• Develop schemes of work, assessment plans and learning outcomes.
• Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate records.
• Work closely with employers, awarding bodies and colleagues to support delivery.
• Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance.
