Job summary

Kinetic Industrial is assisting a precision engineering company in Middleton by recruiting an Engineering Labourer to join a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant.

The role is temporary to permanent, with hours Mon to Thu 07:40–16:30 and Fri 07:40–12:20; responsibilities include deburring, assisting machine operators, and safe component removal. Salary £13.74 per hour with overtime after 38 hours.

Qualifications

• Experience within an engineering environment.
• Deburring experience required.
• Stacker truck licence would be a big advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working alongside machinery.

Responsibilities

• Product Removal - Safely remove finished components from punched or lasered metal sheets
• Deburring Work - Carry out deburring of metal parts using appropriate tools and techniques, ensuring all edges are smooth, clean, and compliant
• Machine Assistance - Support machine operators by helping set up equipment, loading materials, monitoring production runs
• Stacker Truck Operation - Operate a stacker truck (if licensed)
• Workplace Cleaning - Regularly clearing waste, sweeping workstations, and following housekeeping standards
