Responsibilities

• Carry out general labouring duties in a busy manufacturing environment.
• Use hand tools safely and effectively.
• Deburr and finish metal components.
• Assist engineers and production staff.
• Move and handle materials around the site.
• Support fabrication and assembly operations.
• Load, unload and move materials as required.
• Operate a counterbalance FLT where required.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.

Location: Middleton, Manchester
Pay Rate: £13.74 per hour
Hours: 38-44 hours per week
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x after 38 hours
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday: 7:40am - 4:30pm
Friday: 7:40am - 12:20pm

Plenty of overtime is available.

General Labourer Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out general labouring duties within a busy manufacturing environment

• Loading, unloading and moving materials around the site
• Operating a counterbalance FLT where required
• Maintaining a clean and organised working area
• Following all company health and safety procedures

General Labourer Requirements

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment is desirable
• Experience using hand tools
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Good attention to detail
• Able to work effectively as part of a team
• Willing to undertake overtime when required

Desirable but not essential

• Counterbalance FLT experience/licence
