Job summary

The Windsor Forest Colleges Group in Slough and Langley College seeks a Programme Manager in Engineering and Electrical to lead teaching and curriculum across engineering disciplines. The role blends classroom delivery with management duties at 37 hours per week, on permanent, full-time terms.

Reporting to the Curriculum Director, you will drive teaching quality, staff development, and curriculum expansion to meet local industry needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 4 teaching qualification with Level 2 English and mathematics.
• Industrial FE experience and curriculum planning background.
• Sound mechanical engineering knowledge and product design understanding.
• Proficiency in additive manufacturing and CAD/CAM software: SolidWorks, Cura, Multisim.
• Hands-on workshop competency with drills, lathes, milling machines, laser cutters.

Responsibilities

• Deliver teaching on Engineering Courses, including new T Level in Design and Development.
• Maintain high standards of teaching, learning and assessment across programmes.
• Manage team performance through staff reviews and drive student retention.
• Develop curriculum to align with local industry needs and available workshops.
• Lead in workshop-based activities using college engineering facilities.
