Job summary

The Windsor Forest Colleges Group invites applications for a Programme Manager in Construction to join our Slough and Langley College team on a permanent, full-time basis. The role blends classroom teaching with management duties, in a 37-hour week with 18 teaching hours.

You will teach Plumbing and Carpentry on an equal split, requiring a Level 3 Plumbing qualification, plus a Level 4 teaching qualification and Level 2 English and Maths. Leadership in FE curriculum planning is desirable.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Level 3 qualification in Plumbing.
• Minimum Level 4 teaching qualification.
• Level 2 qualifications in English and mathematics.
• Background in Further Education curriculum planning.
• Assessor or verifier awards are advantageous.
• Leadership experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Teach Plumbing and Carpentry for 18 hours per week in a 37-hour week.
• Manage team performance through staff reviews and KPIs.
• Drive student retention and achievement.
• Develop the curriculum to align with local building sector needs.
• Utilise college workshops to deliver practical training.
• Foster relationships with employers, parents and external stakeholders for industry placements and commercial opportunities.
• Ensure safeguarding and inclusive learning across all activities.
