Job summary

Turner & Townsend in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Engineering Design Manager to lead multi-disciplinary design on national infrastructure projects. You will ensure designs are buildable, compliant, innovative and integrated from concept through delivery.

As a senior design leader you will coordinate with clients, engineers and contractors, drive BIM-enabled solutions, manage interfaces and maintain high standards across civil, structural, mechanical and electrical disciplines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience managing design through the full project lifecycle.
• A strong understanding of integrated design delivery and managing consultant performance.
• Knowledge and experience of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and common data environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical assurance, review constructability, and manage design interfaces across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Manage design input from early concepts through delivery on infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with clients, engineers, and contractors to ensure designs are buildable, compliant, innovative and efficient.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, mechanical and electrical disciplines for integrated solutions.
• Embed health, safety and environmental considerations into design outputs.
