Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead design input on multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects. You will ensure designs are buildable, compliant, innovative and efficient, and collaborate with clients to deliver fit-for-purpose outcomes.

You will head design input from early concepts through delivery, coordinating with engineers, contractors and managers to achieve project success while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience managing design through the full project lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of integrated design delivery and managing consultant performance.
• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Chartered Engineer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design management with external consultants and contractors under contract.
• Oversee multi-disciplinary engineering teams from consultants and partner companies.
• Coordinate with clients, Engineering Managers, Project Managers, Contractors and Consultants on issues, scope changes and risks.
• Drive innovative, practical and sustainable engineering solutions that meet client, operational and regulatory requirements.
• Embed health, safety and environmental considerations into all engineering and design solutions.
