Job summary

Delta Hotels By Marriott Peterborough is seeking an Engineering Assistant to help keep the hotel looking its best and running smoothly. You’ll handle day-to-day maintenance tasks, from touch-ups to minor plumbing and painting, ensuring guest areas, bedrooms and facilities stay in top condition.

We value a practical, hands-on attitude, good problem-solving skills and pride in your work. This is a full-time role with 40 hours per week in our hotel team.

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance, painting and/or plumbing.
• Practical person who enjoys getting stuck in.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
• Pride in workmanship.
• Team player who understands that little things in a hotel make a big difference.

Responsibilities

Engineering Assistant – Full Time | 40 Hours
per Week

Does a fresh coat of paint make you strangely happy?

Can you tell the difference between a spanner and a screwdriver?

If you’ve got a practical, can-do attitude and
a bit of experience in painting, plumbing and general maintenance, we’d love to
hear from you!

As our Engineering Assistant, you’ll help keep
our hotel looking its best and running smoothly. From fixing those little jobs
that just can’t wait, to keeping guest areas, bedrooms and facilities in
tip-top condition, you’ll be an important part of the team.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Some experience in general maintenance, painting and/or plumbing
• A practical person who enjoys getting stuck in
• Good problem-solving skills and a “let’s get it sorted” attitude
• Someone who takes pride in their work
• A team player who understands that in a hotel, the little things
  make a big difference.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

One day you might be touching up some
paintwork, the next you could be fixing a leaky tap or helping with a general
maintenance job. No two days are quite the same!

Most importantly, you’ll help make sure our
guests have a safe, comfortable and enjoyable stay.

40 hours a week. Full time. Plenty of variety.
