ATA Recruitment is seeking an Area Sales Manager for the South of England (home-based). The role focuses on selling bespoke engineering equipment with a consultative approach to understanding customer processes and delivering tailored technical solutions.

You will manage key accounts, conduct site visits, and win projects in sectors like food, pharmaceutical, and chemicals. The position offers a base salary of £50,000-£60,000 plus a company car or £550 monthly car allowance, plus an OTE and

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop customer relationships across the South of England.
• Respond to and convert incoming project enquiries.
• Conduct customer meetings and site surveys.
• Understand manufacturing processes and operational challenges.
• Develop technically appropriate filtration and extraction solutions.
• Prepare and present commercial proposals.
• Manage projects through the sales cycle from enquiry to order.
• Maintain accurate sales pipeline and CRM records.
• Deliver territory sales and profitability targets.
• Identify new opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.
• Work closely with engineering and project delivery teams for successful handovers.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity.
