Job summary

The AMRC Training Centre at Catcliffe in Rotherham, operated by the University of Sheffield, invites applications for a Workplace Coach to develop the next generation of engineering and manufacturing apprentices. You will coordinate on/off the job learning, set targets, and assess progress with employers across local and national placements.

We seek an experienced workplace coach with engineering background, strong planning and communication skills, and valid assessor/verifier qualifications.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering (or related) discipline.
• Relevant industrial experience and/or teaching/training background is desirable.
• Assessor/verifier qualifications would be advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence is essential for site visits.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate on/off the job learning and assessment for engineering/apprenticeships.
• Set learning targets and assessments to help apprentices develop required knowledge, skills and behaviours.
• Conduct reviews at apprentices' workplaces with input from employers.
• Support learning and progression across advanced, higher and degree apprenticeships.
