Job summary

The University of Sheffield is seeking a Workplace Curriculum Manager to lead the AMRC Training Centre’s apprenticeship coaching programme. You will ensure coaching complies with funding rules and Ofsted's framework, and shape the training centre's strategic direction.

You will manage a team of workplace coaches, develop curricula, build employer partnerships and oversee quality assurance to deliver high-quality education for engineers and manufacturers.

Qualifications

• Honours degree in engineering or manufacturing (or equivalent experience).
• Proven teaching ability with coaching experience.
• Experience of leading and managing teams and curricula development.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and support a team of workplace coaches to provide high quality, compliant, tripartite reviews for engineering and manufacturing apprentices.
• Plan workplace coach caseloads to align coach expertise, programme level and employers.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with employers to align apprentices' progress with industry standards and Ofsted's Education Inspection Framework.
• Carry out compliant, high-quality, tripartite reviews with apprentices and their employers in the workplace.
• Lead and manage quality assurance activities to ensure moderation and internal quality assurance is effective.
• Develop curricula and delivery plans to meet employer, industry and apprentice needs as well as regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to the development of the AMRC Training Centre's quality of education through active participation and leadership in committees and working groups.
• Work effectively with colleagues to ensure that apprentices' pastoral needs are met.
• Concurrently manage multiple work strands and projects with strong long-term planning.
