Job summary

The University of Sheffield is seeking a Workplace Curriculum Manager for the AMRC Training Centre. You will oversee workplace coaching for engineering and manufacturing apprentices, ensuring compliance with funding rules and Ofsted’s EIF.

You will join the Centre’s management team to shape strategic direction and quality. You will design objectives and strategies to deliver high-quality apprenticeship curricula for regional and national employers, drawing on your teaching and leadership

Qualifications

• Proven teaching ability, ideally with a teaching qualification.
• Knowledge and experience of apprenticeships with strong understanding of Ofsted’s EIF.
• Ability to develop curricula and delivery plans for apprenticeships and commercial programmes.
• Experience of leading and managing teams.
• Ability to concurrently manage multiple work strands and projects, with long-term planning and organisation.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and support a team of workplace coaches to provide high quality, compliant tripartite reviews for engineering and manufacturing apprentices.
• Plan workplace coach caseloads to align expertise, programme level and employers.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with employers to align apprentices’ progress with industry standards and Ofsted’s EIF.
• Carry out compliant, high-quality tripartite reviews with apprentices and employers in the workplace.
• Lead and manage quality assurance activities to ensure moderation and internal QA is effective.
• Develop new curricula and improve existing curricula to meet employer and regulator needs.
• Contribute to development of AMRC Training Centre’s quality of education through leadership in committees and projects.
• Support apprentices’ pastoral needs and welfare.
• Carry out other duties commensurate with grade and remit.
