Job summary

Weston College is opening the Advanced Manufacturing Technical Excellence College (AMTEC) in Filton, Bristol. We are seeking a Training Co-ordinator - Engineering to join the AMTEC team, supporting apprenticeship progression on-site.

The role focuses on reviewing targets, coordinating with employers, and using a range of support techniques with apprentices in college or workplace settings; engineering knowledge is beneficial but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with learners and/or employers on delivering learning programmes.
• Knowledge of work-based learning and apprenticeship provision.
• Experience working with learners to achieve outcomes.
• Experience in identifying and setting realistic targets and supporting learners to achieve them.

Responsibilities

• Managing a caseload of learners and conducting regular review meetings with learners and employers to facilitate progress and development of knowledge, skills and behaviours.
• Review the timely completion of actions in progress reviews by liaising with assessors and lecturers to ensure academic progress is being made.
• Ensuring the apprentices' progress in the workplace by identifying and planning opportunities that align with their off the job training.
• Produce bespoke apprenticeship Career Development Plans that include individual development and industry enrichment, ensuring employers are involved in creating and updating these through participation in progress reviews.
