Job summary

Weston College invites applications for a full-time Lecturer in Engineering - Aerospace and Mechanical (AMTEC) at our new Filton site in Bristol. You will deliver units to FE and HE learners, with on-site interviews for the role at AMTEC.

The role focuses on high-quality teaching, tutoring students, tracking progress, and guiding progression to employment or further study within the College, in line with our commitment to excellence and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification, or equivalent in a relevant area.
• Knowledge and experience of current teaching strategies.
• Knowledge of Machining within Engineering.

• Tutorship of students, showing sensitivity to their needs and encouraging the highest possible standards.
• For meeting targets with reference to student progress on programme, for their attendance and retention.

As one of the fastest-growing Colleges in the UK, Weston College is excited to be opening the brand-new Advanced Manufacturing Technical Excellence College in Filton, Bristol, which will welcome its first learners in September 2026.

As part of our expansion into our new site, we are looking for someone to join the team on a full-time basis (37 hours per week) as a Lecturer in Engineering - Aerospace and Mechanical (AMTEC).

Interviews for this role will take place on-site, at AMTEC.

In this role, you will be delivering units to both FE and HE learners.

Day to day duties of the role include, but are not limited to:

• Providing high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment across a number of programmes as agreed with the Head of Area;
• Tutorship of students, showing sensitivity to their needs and encouraging the highest possible standards;
