Job summary

Weston College is opening the brand-new Advanced Manufacturing Technical Excellence College (AMTEC) in Filton, Bristol, and invites applications for a part-time Lecturer in Engineering - Electronics. The role involves delivering electronics units to Apprenticeships within Engineering, with a Tue/Wed schedule and on-site interviews at AMTEC.

You will teach across programmes, tutor students, monitor progress, attendance and retention, and guide progression to employment or further study within the

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification, or equivalent in a relevant area.
• Knowledge and experience of current teaching strategies.
• Knowledge of Electronics within Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Providing high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment across a number of programmes as agreed with the Head of Area.
• Tutorship of students, showing sensitivity to their needs and encouraging the highest possible standards.
• For meeting targets with reference to student progress on programme, for their attendance and retention.
• Providing advice and guidance to students in their progression to either employment or other courses within the College.
