Job summary

Weston College is opening the Advanced Manufacturing Technical Excellence College (AMTEC) in Filton, Bristol, and seeks a Lecturer in Engineering - Mechanical to join the team on a full-time basis.

The role involves delivering HE Apprenticeships and some FE delivery, with focus on Finite Element Analysis, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Aircraft Structures and Structural Mechanics. Interviews will be on-site at AMTEC.

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification, or equivalent in a relevant area.
• Knowledge of current teaching strategies.
• Knowledge of Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Providing high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment across a number of programmes as agreed with the Head of Area.
• Tutorship of students, showing sensitivity to their needs and encouraging the highest possible standards.
• For meeting targets with reference to student progress on programme, for their attendance and retention.
• Providing advice and guidance to students in their progression to either employment or other courses within the College.
