Job summary

Weston College is opening the Advanced Manufacturing Technical Excellence College in Filton, Bristol, and seeks a Lecturer in Engineering - Electronics (AMTEC) on a part-time basis (15 hours per week). The working pattern for this academic year is Tuesday and Wednesday all day, with interviews on-site at AMTEC.

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification or equivalent in a relevant area.
• Knowledge and experience of current teaching strategies.
• Knowledge of Electronics within Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Providing high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment across a number of programmes as agreed with the Head of Area.
• Tutorship of students, showing sensitivity to their needs and encouraging the highest possible standards.
• For meeting targets with reference to student progress on programme, for their attendance and retention.
• Providing advice and guidance to students in their progression to either employment or other courses within the College.
