Job summary

Speedy Hire Plc, the UK's leading hire provider, is looking for an Engineer - Rail based in Newport. The Rail Engineer will manage service schedules and repair faulty rail equipment to keep tools available for hire.

You'll need strong mechanical skills, a PTS, NWR medical eligibility, and solid communication. The role involves shift work, including weekend rosters, with good progression and benefits.

Job Title - Engineer - Rail

Location - Newport

Working Hours - 42 hours per week, shift roster mandatory must work 2 weekends of 4 minimum paid additionally

Based in the depot, the Rail Engineer is a key role to Speedy's supply of rail tools and equipment; ensuring service schedules are up to date and repairing faulty rail equipment as necessary to ensure it remains available for hire.

What you'll need:

• Strong mechanical skills and able to use tools effectively

• Must be eligible to complete NWR medical
• Hold a PTS
