Job summary

Arriva UK Bus is seeking skilled Engineers to join their growing teams across the business. You will carry out preventive maintenance and repairs on buses and PSVs, diagnose faults using advanced tools, and ensure work meets DVSA and safety standards.

The role involves reading technical docs, maintaining records, and supporting junior engineers, with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement and vehicle reliability. A strong safety mindset and team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding experience in a workshop or fleet environment.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, manuals and technical documentation.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures in engineering and transport environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on buses, PSVs, vehicles and engineering equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults using diagnostic tools.
• Complete repairs, modifications and upgrades to DVSA and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate engineering records, inspection reports and maintenance documentation.
• Support fleet reliability through fault finding and technical problem solving.
• Provide technical support to junior engineers and apprentices where required.
