Job summary

Arriva UK Bus is seeking skilled Engineers at Selby Bus Depot to maintain and improve our fleet. You will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on buses and PSVs, diagnose faults with advanced tools, and ensure all work complies with safety standards and DVSA requirements.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 in PSV or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance, strong diagnostic skills, and a proactive approach to reliability. A full UK driving licence is preferred, with shift flexibility as needed.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in PSV or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding experience in a workshop or fleet environment.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures in engineering/transport.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on buses, PSVs, vehicles and engineering equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults using diagnostic tools.
• Complete repairs, modifications and upgrades in line with DVSA and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of inspections and maintenance.
• Support fleet reliability through fault finding and technical problem solving.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals.
• Work with workshop teams, supervisors and operations to ensure high-quality workmanship.
