Job summary

Arriva UK Bus is seeking skilled engineers to maintain and improve our bus fleet and infrastructure. You will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults, read technical drawings, and ensure all work meets DVSA standards.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 PSV or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance.
Experience as PSV Engineer, HGV Technician, or similar roles.
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding in workshop/fleet environments.
Experience with engineering tools and vehicle diagnostic systems.
Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

Carry out preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on buses, PSVs, vehicles and equipment.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults with diagnostic tools.
Complete repairs, modifications and upgrades per DVSA and safety standards.
Support fleet reliability through fault finding and problem solving.
Read and interpret drawings, schematics and manuals.
Ensure maintenance work is safe, efficient and high quality.
Maintain engineering records and inspection reports.
Collaborate with workshop teams, supervisors and operations.
Support continuous improvement to improve reliability and efficiency.
Provide guidance to apprentices and junior engineers.
