Job summary

Speedy Group is seeking an experienced Mobile Engineer to service, repair and maintain equipment at customer sites in Erith. You will handle planned maintenance and respond to breakdowns, working independently with a strong safety and customer-service mindset.

The role offers a 9-day fortnight with every other Wednesday off, extensive training, and career progression within Speedy Group. Driving the field service requires travel to customer sites and hands-on problem solving.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering experience, ideally in hire/plant or similar.
• Fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Good IT skills including Microsoft Office.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Strong focus on safety and customer service.
• Flexible and team-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing equipment at customer sites.

We’re looking for an experienced

Mobile Engineer

Mobile Engineer – Erith

07:00–16:30 | 42 hours per week

to join our team in Erith, supporting customers directly at their sites and keeping their equipment safe, reliable and ready to work.

This is a hands‑on, customer‑facing engineering role where no two days are the same. You’ll manage planned servicing alongside responding to breakdowns, helping to keep our customers and their operations moving.

The role

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing equipment at customer sites

• Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently

What you’ll need

• Previous

  mechanical engineering experience

  – ideally within hire, plant or a similar engineering environment
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

• The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
