Job summary

JCB Power Systems seeks a technically driven Engineering Warranty Specialist to lead engine failure investigations and drive robust root cause analysis to reduce warranty costs. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will coordinate with Engineering, Service and suppliers to implement corrective actions and improve product reliability.

You will present findings to senior management, support warranty processes, and contribute to ongoing product improvements while ensuring customer satisfaction

Qualifications

• HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) required.
• Experience in engine/powertrain environments.
• Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead engine failure investigations and component strip-down analysis, supported by a team of Quality Technicians.
• Drive warranty recovery activities with suppliers, ensuring costs are recovered and corrective actions are implemented.
• Identify and analyse key warranty cost drivers, leading root cause investigations and delivering prevented recurrence actions.
• Support assessment and approval of high-value or complex warranty claims.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Service and suppliers to investigate failures and drive corrective actions.
