Job summary

Norton Motorcycles in Solihull seeks a Customer Quality Engineer – Engines to lead investigations of engine and powertrain quality concerns and drive robust corrective actions across engineering, manufacturing and supplier teams.

The role requires experience in engine-related diagnostics, field data analysis and structured problem-solving, with travel to dealers and suppliers as needed.

Qualifications

• Broad understanding of internal-combustion engines and motorcycle/auto systems.
• Ability to interpret diagnostic data, test results and engineering drawings.
• Experience with structured quality tools (8D, FMEA, APQP, PPAP).

Responsibilities

• Act as Customer Quality specialist for engine and powertrain field concerns.
• Lead containment, root-cause analysis and permanent resolutions.
• Coordinate engine testing, inspections, failure analysis and reports.
• Support development and validation of permanent production/service fixes.
