Job summary

JCB Power Systems is seeking a Principal Engineer – Engine Projects to lead engine development and launch activities from concept through production. You will drive cross-functional teams, coordinate prototype builds and ensure on-time delivery against quality, cost and regulatory objectives.

The role demands a degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years in engine development with strong project management skills, excellent communication, and the ability to influence without direct authority.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' relevant engine development experience.
• Experience leading engine or powertrain projects.
• Strong understanding of the engine product development lifecycle.
• Ability to coordinate activities across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead engine product development and launch activities from concept to production launch.
• Define engine specifications and develop cross-functional plans across engineering functions.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation plans and manage critical paths.
• Coordinate prototype builds, validation activities and assembly with manufacturing.
• Provide regular project updates to leadership and ensure timely issue resolution.
