Job summary

M‑Sport UK is seeking an experienced Engine Design Engineer to join the Dovenby Hall headquarters. You will design, develop and improve high‑performance competition engine components and assemblies, working closely with engineers, builders and manufacturing teams to deliver lightweight, reliable powertrain solutions for international motorsport programmes.

Key responsibilities include CAD development, engineering analysis, tolerance studies and cross‑functional collaboration to ensure on‑time

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in Motorsport/Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with high-performance engine design.
• Strong CAD skills for complex components and assemblies.
• Knowledge of mechanical principles, materials and tolerance analysis.
• Ability to perform design reviews and tolerance studies.
• Excellent communication in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance engine components from concept through manufacture.
• Produce detailed 3D CAD models, drawings and technical documentation.
• Carry out engineering calculations, design reviews and tolerance studies.
• Develop innovative design solutions for performance, durability and weight reduction.
• Collaborate with Engine, Production, Manufacturing and Purchasing teams.
• Investigate design issues via root cause analysis and implement solutions.
• Support suppliers to ensure components meet specs and deadlines.
• Manage design activities across multiple projects and milestones.
