Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to support a range of secondary schools across Cirencester and surrounding areas from November 2026. Short-term and long-term opportunities available, ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or those building a career in education.

You'll supervise lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher, deliver pre-planned activities, maintain a positive learning environment, and adhere to safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in any setting is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confidence managing groups of students within a classroom environment.
• Reliable, adaptable and proactive approach to work.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Oversee lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher.
• Deliver pre-planned lesson activities and instructions.
• Maintain a positive, productive learning environment.
• Encourage student participation and engagement.
• Adhere to school policies, safeguarding procedures and classroom expectations.
