Job summary

Academics is seeking Cover Supervisors for secondary and middle schools across Redditch, Studley, and Bromsgrove. Roles include short-term and long-term cover commencing ASAP and after October Half Term.

You’ll oversee classes, keep students engaged, and support with registrations and other duties while gaining valuable teaching experience. Candidates with a UK degree or proven experience with young people, and a current enhanced DBS, are encouraged to apply for a rewarding role in a supportive

Qualifications

Hold a UK degree or previous experience of working with young people (eg: mentor, sports coaching, youth work, tutoring, TA, LSA etc)
Possess a current enhanced DBS certificate (or be happy to apply for a new one - we can help with this)
Desire to make a difference
Enthusiastic, good sense of humour
Excellent communication and time-management skills
Adaptable, proactive, resilient, reliable

Responsibilities

Overseeing students in the completion of pre-set work in the absence of the subject teacher
Ensuring students remain engaged, on task and manage behaviour in the classroom
Building positive relationship with pupils across different year groups
Assist with other duties (registrations, break/ lunchtime duties)
