Job summary

High Life Highland is seeking staff to help deliver and promote library and information services across the network. You will work as part of a team to support learning and reading for all ages, run events, and lead Bookbug sessions while maintaining stock, databases and customer service.

You will be part of an organization dedicated to sustainable library services and continuous improvement, contributing to a positive, safe and helpful environment for patrons and colleagues alike.

Qualifications

• Experience in library or information services preferred.
• Ability to promote a positive workplace culture and teamwork.
• Familiarity with e-resources and customer support in a library setting.

Responsibilities

• Actively promote a positive and collaborative workplace culture.
• Deliver, support and promote library and information services.
• Run and assist with library events and promotions for all ages.
• Lead Bookbug sessions for young children.
• Carry out shelving, processing and repair of library stock.
• Input data into databases and maintain reservation systems.
• Handle cash transactions.
• Assist customers with using library resources including e-resources.
• Open and close the library as required.
• Contribute to service delivery across the library network.
