Job summary

The Parker Academy in Daventry is seeking a reliable Cover Supervisor to ensure learning continues when a class is absent. You will supervise pre-set work, model positive behaviour and help create a calm, safe learning environment where every pupil can succeed.

The successful candidate will have Level 3 Cover Supervision or equivalent, strong GCSEs, and experience supporting children with varied needs. This is a term-time, 0.6FTE role with a fixed-term contract and opportunities for professional

Qualifications

• Level 3 Cover Supervision qualification or equivalent.
• HLTA or equivalent (desirable).
• GCSE Maths and English minimum grade 4 or equivalent.
• Experience supervising children in a school setting.
• Experience of working with children with a wide variety of educational needs.

Responsibilities

• Establishing productive working relationships with students, promoting positive values and setting high expectations.
• Supervising pupils undertaking work set in accordance with the Academy’s policy under guidance of teaching/senior staff.
• Monitoring and evaluating students’ responses to learning activities and providing feedback/reports as required.
• Encouraging students to interact and work cooperatively with others and engage all students in activities.
• Effective use of ICT to support learning activities and develop students’ competence and independent use.
