Job summary

The Parker Academy in Daventry is seeking a reliable Cover Supervisor to join our team. You will supervise pre-set work, maintain discipline, and ensure learning continues when a teacher is absent, creating a calm, safe environment where every student can succeed.

Working within E-ACT's Parker Academy, you’ll support teaching staff, foster positive behaviour, and contribute to a high-quality educational experience for pupils aged 11-18.

Qualifications

• Qualification Level 3 in Cover Supervision or equivalent.
• HLTA qualification is desirable.
• GCSE Maths and English at minimum grade 4 or equivalent.
• Experience supervising children in a school setting is required.
• Experience supporting pupils with diverse educational needs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils and ensure learning continues when a teacher is absent.
• Maintain a calm, safe and positive learning environment.
• Encourage positive behaviour and student engagement.
• Support pupils with set tasks and managed transitions.
• Assist with ICT-enabled learning activities where appropriate.
