Job summary

Bristow & Sutor Group is recruiting an Enforcement Agent to cover Brighton and surrounding areas including Worthing, Eastbourne, Lewes, Haywards Heath and Horsham. The role offers a basic salary of £26,441–£28,460 with a strong opportunity to earn £40,000–£65,000 through commissions and bonuses, plus a company car and fuel card.

You will be certificated and responsible for enforcing decisions for clients while supporting customers with sensitivity and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to remain calm, firm and fair under pressure.
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence and clean record.

Responsibilities

• Visit customers' homes and businesses.
• Negotiate professionally to maximise recoveries.
• Take payments and set up arrangements; help complete income questionnaire.
• Take control of goods when needed, following regulations.
• Maintain accurate case notes, visit reports and payment records.
• Identify vulnerable customers and refer to appropriate support.

What you will do

As a certificated Enforcement Agent, you will be responsible for a designated geographical area and undertake activities on behalf of our clients including:

• Visit customers' homes and businesses
• Negotiate professionally and confidently to maximise successful recoveries
• Take payments, set up arrangements and help customers complete an income questionnaire
• Take control of goods when there's no other option, always following the regulations
• Maintain accurate case notes, visit reports, and payment records
• Identify and support customer vulnerability by recognising signs of hardship, adapting your approach and ensuring appropriate referral pathways are followed
