Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead multi-disciplinary FEED and Detailed Design projects in the UK energy sector, including civil, cable, substation, and control systems. You will deliver to scope, schedule, quality, and budget while coordinating with senior client stakeholders and internal teams.

You will hold recognised PM qualifications and an engineering degree, with a proven track record in consultancy or major energy projects.

Qualifications

• Qualified in project management (APM PMQ, PRINCE2, PMP) and experienced in energy sector.
• Degree in engineering, project management, or equivalent.
• Proven delivery of projects for energy sector clients in consultancy/contracting environments.
• Strong change, risk, schedule and cost management capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; leadership of cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary design projects (civils, cable, substation, protection & control, secondary systems).
• Deliver projects to agreed scope, schedule, quality and budget.
• Build relationships with senior client stakeholders and internal teams.
• Establish clear communication across project teams and manage issues.
• Own problem-solving and decision-making throughout the lifecycle.
• Oversee commercial aspects including NEC contracts and contract administration.
• Identify and mitigate project risks for client and business.
• Promote health, safety and wellbeing across project activities.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently to meet tight deadlines.
