Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking experienced Project Principals to lead major multidisciplinary FEED and Detailed Design projects in the Transmission and Distribution team within the Energy unit. You will drive delivery across critical UK/European infrastructure upgrades, shaping the energy transition and influencing project management practices for efficiency and excellence.

You will manage complex, technical design projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams while upholding health and safety

Qualifications

• Recognised project management qualifications (APM PMQ, PRINCE2, PMP)
• Relevant degree in engineering or project management
• Proven success delivering multidisciplinary design projects in energy sector
• Knowledge of change, risk, schedule and cost management
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of multi-disciplinary design projects (civils, cable, substation, protection & control)
• Ensure delivery to scope, schedule, quality and budget
• Build relationships with senior client stakeholders and internal teams
• Establish clear communication across project teams
• Take ownership of problem-solving and decision-making
• Manage contracts and commercial aspects (NEC)
• Identify and mitigate project risks for client and business
• Promote health, safety, and wellbeing in project activities
• Handle multiple projects concurrently to meet deadlines
