Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead multi-disciplinary FEED and Detailed Design projects for the Transmission and Distribution sector in the UK and Europe. You will drive delivery, governance, and continuous improvement within a hybrid working model.

You will bring a proven track record in delivering complex engineering projects, with strong stakeholder management, risk control, and contract administration skills, contributing to the energy transition and client

Qualifications

• Essential: recognised project management qualifications (APM PMQ, PRINCE2, PMP).
• Essential: engineering, project management, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven delivery of multidisciplinary design projects in energy/engineering contexts.
• Strong change, risk, cost, and schedule management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of multi-disciplinary design projects (civils, cable, substation, protection & control, secondary systems).
• Ensure delivery within scope, schedule, quality, and budget.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior client stakeholders and internal teams.
• Establish clear communication across project teams and drive decision-making.
• Own problem-solving across project lifecycle and oversee contract administration (NEC).
• Identify and mitigate project risks for client and business.
• Promote health, safety, and wellbeing across activities.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently to meet deadlines.
