Job summary

Northern Powergrid is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a portfolio of operational and transformation initiatives across its regional operations. You will coordinate multiple workstreams, develop detailed plans, and ensure delivery within scope, time, and budget.

You will influence stakeholders, manage risks, and drive change through governance forums, while focusing on continuous improvement, safety, and regulatory compliance across the business.

Qualifications

• Must have a proven track record delivering multiple projects concurrently.
• Strong governance, risk management and benefits realisation capabilities.
• Experience in complex operational environments, preferably utilities or energy sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of a portfolio of operational, transformation, and performance improvement projects, ensuring outcomes are delivered on time and within budget.
• Coordinate multiple workstreams across Regional Operations and wider business functions.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, and resource requirements.
• Establish effective project governance, providing regular reporting and performance insights to senior leaders.
• Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks, issues, and barriers.
• Engage and influence stakeholders at all levels to build support for change.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings to drive accountability and momentum.
• Track benefits and ensure improvements are embedded to sustain performance.
• Coordinate activities across internal teams, contractors, and external partners.
• Promote continuous improvement and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
