Job summary

IQA Elecnor Group is seeking a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor to join our Special Projects team in Glasgow. You will support the commercial management of high-value energy infra projects, protecting margins and driving performance.

Role involves post- and pre-contract exposure, procurement, cost reporting, and tender support, with clear pathways for professional progression within a rapidly growing national group.

Qualifications

• Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Experience with NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts.
• Commercial management experience in construction, utilities, infrastructure or engineering.
• Strong numerical, analytical and commercial skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proficiency in Excel and commercial reporting systems.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage subcontract packages, including procurement support, valuations, payments and performance monitoring.
• Identify, manage and assess variations and NEC Compensation Events.
• Prepare and maintain cost reporting, CVRs, forecasts and commercial performance data.
• Support cost control, value management and risk management activities across projects.
• Assist with contractual claims, commercial negotiations and contract administration.
• Provide commercial support for tenders, cost estimates and contract reviews.
• Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company procedures and governance requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and promote commercial best practice.
