Job summary

Real Staffing Group in Glasgow is seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to oversee the commercial delivery of major power and renewables infrastructure projects. You will manage BOQs, budgets, cost reporting, and final accounts, collaborating with project managers, engineers, and clients to drive value and profitability.

The role focuses on high-voltage infrastructure, substations, switchgear, and cable works, with responsibilities spanning budgeting, contract administration, and risk management

Qualifications

• Experience working on electrical infrastructure, HV, substations, or renewables projects.
• Understanding of contract administration, commercial management, and cost control processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience managing subcontractor accounts, valuations, and final accounts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage BOQs, budgets, cost reports, forecasts, and profit plans.
• Monitor project costs and provide detailed commercial reporting to Project Managers and senior stakeholders.
• Lead and participate in interim commercial meetings with clients and internal project teams.
• Prepare and submit monthly applications for payment, with remeasurements, variations, dayworks, and contracts.
• Negotiate site changes, variation orders, and dayworks; manage subcontractor accounts and final accounts.
