Job summary

Northern Powergrid is seeking enthusiastic Works Coordinators to join the Domestic and Small Business Connections team. Multiple vacancies across the operating area with site-based postings to be confirmed during recruitment. The role involves planning, managing and delivering connections and upgrade works for Low Carbon Technology.

Starting salary is £39,923 with progression to £51,396, plus benefits including 25 days holiday and transport provision. Applications close 30 August 2026.

Qualifications

• Customer service orientation and ability to apply it to our connection service.
• Experience with electrical testing on domestic/industrial LV equipment.
• Effective communication with customers and stakeholders.
• Strong project management skills across varying priorities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage projects safely to time, cost and quality.
• Manage resources including direct labour and contractors on-site.
• Prioritise workload and provide cost-effective delivery solutions.
• Communicate with customers, Low Carbon Technology providers and stakeholders to deliver a 10/10 service.
• Support weekly operational contract meetings with external providers.
• Process payments in a timely, efficient manner.
• Carry out site audits for safety, quality and contractual obligations.
• Order materials for service delivery.
• Manage outage planning for allocated projects.
• Attend evening/weekend customer appointments when required.
