Job summary

Northern Powergrid is recruiting Works Coordinators to join our Domestic and Small Business Connections team. You will plan, manage and deliver connections and upgrade works, coordinate resources and control outages while ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery.

Based at one of our depots with location confirmed during recruitment, you will interact with customers and stakeholders, maintain service standards and contribute to low carbon technology projects.

Qualifications

• ,GCSE Maths and English at grade C/5 or above.
• ,
• An ONC/HNC in Electrical Engineering or working towards this qualification.
• Experience Project Management in other utility or construction sectors.
• Knowledge of LV/HV networks; IT systems such as CRM, QPID, ISMART.

Responsibilities

• Works coordination and management of varied projects safely and to time, cost and quality.
• Effective site management of resources, including direct labour and contractors.
• Prioritise workload, make decisions and identify cost effective delivery solutions.
• Communicate effectively with customers, Low Carbon Technology providers and stakeholders delivering a high-quality service.
• Support weekly operational contract meetings with external service providers.
• Process applications for payment in a timely and efficient manner.
• Carry out site audits for safety, quality and contractual obligations.
• Order materials for use by service providers and create electronic job packs.
• Manage outage planning for allocated projects.
