Job summary

Northern Powergrid is seeking energetic Works Coordinators to join the Domestic and Small Business Connections team across multiple depots. You will plan, manage and deliver connection works, coordinating resources and contractors to meet customer needs.

Starting salary £39,923 with progression to £51,396 and a benefits package including 25 days holiday and transport provision. Location confirmed during recruitment.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at grade C/5 or above
• Full clean UK Driving Licence
• IT skills including Word and Excel
• Knowledge of the electricity distribution network
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required
• Experience in project coordination or management preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage projects safely to time, cost and quality
• Site management of resources including direct labour and contractors
• Prioritise workload and deliver cost-effective solutions
• Communicate with customers, Low Carbon Technology providers and stakeholders
• Support weekly operational contract meetings with external providers
• Process payments in a timely and efficient manner; maintain safety and quality audits
• Order materials and create electronic job packs for delivery of works
• Manage outage planning for allocated projects
• Attend evening and weekend customer appointments as required

Education

ONC/HNC in Electrical Engineering

ILM Level 3 or NEBOSH
