Job summary

Northern Powergrid is seeking enthusiastic Works Coordinators to join the Domestic and Small Business Connections team. Vacancies across the operating area will be based at one of our depots, with location confirmed during recruitment.

The role involves planning, managing and delivering connection works for Low Carbon Technology, requiring strong project and stakeholder management. Starting salary provided, with progression; 25 days holiday, transport provision and opportunities to develop

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and project delivery for utility or construction projects.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.
• Knowledge of low voltage electrical testing and health & safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage varied projects safely, on time, cost and quality.
• Direct site resources, including labour and contractors.
• Prioritise workload and identify cost-effective delivery solutions.
• Communicate with customers, Low Carbon Technology providers and stakeholders.
• Support weekly operational contract meetings with external providers.
• Process applications for payment promptly.
• Carry out site audits for safety, quality and contractual obligations.
• Order materials for service delivery.
• Create electronic job packs to convey delivery of works.
• Manage outage planning for allocated projects.
• Attend evening and weekend customer appointments when required.
