Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Civil & Structural Engineer within the Design Assurance team in the UK Energy Transition portfolio.

You will support independent review and assurance of civil and structural deliverables on energy transmission projects, ensuring designs meet client and regulatory requirements. This role blends hands-on design with verification, governance, and multidisciplinary coordination across the full project lifecycle, with a clear path toward Design Assurance Checker or

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Working towards Chartered Engineer (CEng).
• Experience in civil and structural design, ideally within energy, power, industry or infrastructure sectors.
• Familiarity with Eurocodes and UK standards; awareness of National Grid specs will be preferable.

Responsibilities

• Support technical review and assurance of civil/structural designs.
• Develop understanding of design assurance principles and governance.
• Undertake independent reviews of calculations, drawings, specifications, and 3D models.
• Support delivery of civil/structural design packages where required.
• Assist in implementation of structured design review processes.
• Identify and manage technical risks, assumptions, and constraints.
