Job summary

WSP is seeking a Civil & Structural Engineer within the Design Assurance team to support independent review of engineering deliverables on Energy Transmission projects. The role offers a path toward future Design Assurance, Checker, or Independent Reviewer positions.

You will engage with design teams, perform independent checks, and contribute to governance frameworks while developing expertise in BIM and design verification across UK/International projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related discipline.
• Working towards Chartered Engineer status (CEng).
• Experience in civil/structural design across energy/infrastructure sectors.
• Familiar with Eurocodes/UK standards and design processes.

Responsibilities

• Support technical review and assurance of civil/structural designs.
• Develop understanding of design assurance principles and governance.
• Undertake independent checks of calculations, drawings, and models.
• Assist in delivering civil/structural design packages as needed.
• Contribute to design review processes, risk workshops, and constructability reviews.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to verify intent.
