Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Endoscopy Booking Officer to join the Endoscopy team. You will provide an efficient administrative service to support the Clinical team, Endoscopy Supervisor, Unit Manager, and divisional managers to ensure targets and high standards of care.

The role involves managing waiting lists, booking lists for the clinical team, and supporting pre-assessment with flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in waiting list management or hospital administration.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication with clinical teams and patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive waiting list administration with prescribed timetables to meet targets.
• Ensure booking of lists for the clinical team is accurate and timely.
• Assist with preparation of diagnostic procedures and ensure notes are ready for admission.
• Work flexibly including evenings and weekends to support Endoscopy unit operations.
• Report faults and keep documentation organised and secure.
