Job summary

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Main area Pathway Coordinator for the Endoscopy administration team. The role requires GCSE English and IT literacy, with experience in administration and Lorenzo knowledge.

You will support waiting list management and liaise with clinical teams. The post is full time (37.5 hours) on a permanent contract at Royal Derby Hospital, Derby, with a salary of £25,760–£27,476 pro rata per annum.

Qualifications

• GCSE English is required.
• IT literacy with a range of IT applications.
• Experience in an administration role is essential.
• Understanding of the Trust Patient Access Policy and its contents; knowledge of Lorenzo is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Act as the point of contact for patients and staff for the consultant and team.
• Monitor and select future waiting list patients.
• Input patient information onto IT systems.
• Prepare and print daily waiting lists.
• Contact patients to arrange appointments per Booking Policy.
• Ensure waiting lists follow booking rules and case mix.
• Send notification letters for appointments to patients.
• Ensure notes and results are ready before patient episodes.
• Liaise with wards and departments within the hospital.
• Escalate urgent problems to a senior manager.
• Undertake required training.
