Job summary

North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for an Endoscopy Booking/Clerical Officer to support the Endoscopy Unit. The role focuses on booking diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, managing reception duties and ensuring efficient patient flow.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams, adhere to Trust policies, and use TrakCare to enter patient information, aiming to meet waiting times and pathway targets.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and understanding of Endoscopy patient pathways to book a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures following the endoscopy training.
• Ability to deliver all reception duties following the appropriate training.
• Commitment to high-quality outputs and meeting patient waiting times and pathway targets.
• Experience with electronic patient records (e.g. TrakCare) and ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Book endoscopy diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Reception duties including arriving and discharging patients onto the Endoscopy Unit.
• Communicate with multi-disciplinary medical and surgical teams.
• Adhere to Trust and Endoscopy policies, procedures and guidelines; update SOPs as needed.
• Liaise with Endoscopy Coordinators to manage capacity and meet targets.
