Job summary

North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Endoscopy Booking/Clerical Officer. The role requires knowledge of Endoscopy patient pathways to book a range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and to perform all reception duties after training.

The post is cross-site between North Tees and Hartlepool sites and involves working patterns between 7.30am and 6.30pm, including Saturdays and bank holidays. NHS AfC Band 3, 6-month fixed term contract, 37.5 hours per week.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent).
• Experience of clerical work involving computerised systems.
• Ability to plan and organise admin tasks and pay attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Book endoscopy diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Communicate with multi-disciplined medical and surgical teams.
• Operate reception duties and manage patient flow on the Endoscopy Unit.
• Adhere to Trust policies and ensure waiting times and pathway targets are met.
• Organise interpreters and maintain standard operating procedures.
