Job description

Nottinghamshire Health Informatics Service is looking for a motivated and confident individual to join our Technical Services team as a End User Device (EUD) Apprentice. This is an exciting opportunity to begin your digital career within a leading IM&T service supporting over 13,000 users across nearly 800 sites. The successful candidate will complete a Level 3 Information Communication Technician course.

NHIS provides a wide range of digital services including infrastructure, cyber security, and multi-tier technical support. As part of our collaborative, experienced team, you'll contribute to improving digital experiences for the health and care workforce across Nottinghamshire.

The post holder will work alongside the End user Device Engineers delivering technical and user support throughout the hospital and health community which will include GP practices and community services. Training will involve working under the supervision of an Engineer as directed by the EUC Service Support Manager/Team Leader in the build and commissioning of new and used equipment (workstations, laptops, i Devices, printers). Training will also include the patching of network equipment.

Applicants must be available for a face to face interview.

We are an award-winning NHS Foundation Trust working alongside health and social care colleagues across the county to provide acute and community healthcare services to more than 420,000 people across Mansfield, Ashfield, Newark and Sherwood, and parts of Derbyshire and Lincolnshire.

We put the patient at the heart of everything that we do and it is our aim to make sure that every patient is treated as we would want a member of our own family to be treated. At the same time, we expect our staff to be caring, kind and courteous to each other and to look out for each other. We believe that we are truly a clinically-led organisation.

We are proud that our Trust colleagues have voted us the best acute Trust to work for in the East Midlands for seven years running in the National NHS Staff Survey, while the Care Quality Commission has rated our Trust as 'outstanding' for care and our King's Mill Hospital as the only 'outstanding' NHS-run hospital in the East Midlands.
